They were known publicly as a couple, but after this incident, Ja’Yunna Monae can officially be called Quaydarius Davis’ ex. She reacted to the alarming video as well. The video was reportedly captured after their breakup.
Quaydarius Davis is facing serious backlash after a disturbing video surfaced online. The video appears to show Davis choking Monae until she passes out. After she loses consciousness, we see him dragging her to the side. It looks like he tried to stop her from breathing and cut off her circulation.

At first, people weren’t sure if the video was real. But Monae later confirmed it. She said the footage came from security cameras and that police are now involved. Monae also said she plans to press charges. She ended the relationship earlier because of “many red flags.”
Monae said, “Domestic violence is never OK. This man choked me until I passed out and peed on myself. He kicked my door down, punched me numerous times, all because I didn’t want to be with him anymore.”

This isn’t the first time Quaydarius Davis has faced serious accusations. In 2021, as he prepared to join the University of Kansas, he faced allegations of sexual assault against a woman. The university quickly cut ties with him after that.
Now, after the latest video spread online, in which he is assaulting her ex, many fans and social media users are speaking out again. Some are demanding that Southern University suspend him right away.
