The French open is in the court after two years without restrictions due to the Covid-19 outbreak throughout the world. The French Open is the world’s leading clay court championship. It is of the four major grand slam tournaments held yearly besides the US open, Australian Open and the Wimbledon.
The French open is one of the biggest tournaments also in terms of monetary value. Ronald Garros has unveiled the prize money of the competition, this time it’s way higher than the previous year because it’s back to the pre-epidemic level as the crowd restrictions are withdrawn.

The total prize money at Roland Garros for 2022 comes in at €43.6 million ($46.7 million), which is up 26.87% compared to 2021 ($43 million), and 2.20% more, compared to 2019.
