The 26 years old boxing star is currently being investigated for testing positive for clomifene before his previously scheduled fight with Eubank Jr, Which was supposed to take place in last weekend. But as a matter of fact, the fight got canceled as a result of Benn’s positive test.
What is surprising is that in the same year, Benn failed his drug test for the second time. It was also the clomifene drug that he recently used. since no actions were taken, so nothing did happen.
The rumors were against Benn’s clever promoter, Eddie Hearn. Hearn might have saved him earlier, and he is still the one who could save him again. Although it’s always possible that he might find a loophole to get him back into the ring if he were to take him out of the country like Europe or another foreign country willing to ignore his drug ban.
Many are also criticizing UKAD (UK Anti-Doping) for this as they were unable to apprehend Benn for the same clomifene substance that VADA(the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association) did. Many also wonder if there is any problem with the UKAD’s testing procedures.
Conor Nigel Benn is a British professional boxer who is currently ranked as the world’s eighth-best active welterweight by ESPN. This British boxer has also held the WBA continental title since 2018. Conor Benn is the son of former two-division world champion boxer Nigel Benn.
This recent incident took the attention of former and current boxing superstars. The majority of them are opposed to the fact that Conor escaped from the first incident and may do so again this time.

Frank Warren also added, “A few of us have known about this earlier test for some time. That makes it even more of a scandal. ” It is more damaging to our sport than everyone thought. ”
As Frank Warren said, many are also genuinely concerned about the future of boxing if these keep continuing and there is no immediate action from the authorities.
