Dwayne Johnson, who is having a great time in Hollywood following his phenomenal performance as Black Adam, has recently teased wrestling fans about a possible return to the ring. Fans are already excited to see their favorite superstar ‘The Rock’ to make an appearance in WWE.
When The Rock last entered the squared circle back in 2016, he defeated Erick Rowan. Since then, a lot of things have changed in the wrestling industry but Rock’s popularity has remained constant.
Who will The Rock fight even if he makes a comeback ? There have been rumors that Roman Reigns, his cousin, might be one. The Tribal Chief has been dominating WWE for a long time now and he is also the head of the table of family. This is the reason why fans believe a match between The Rock and Roman Reigns is imminent.
There has been some positive updates from different authentic news media. Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter also clarified a few things regarding this comeback.
“Here’s the situation. If Dwayne Johnson is on Mania, he’s wrestling Reigns. That is not off the boards at all, nor is it a lock. So there have to be back-up plans put in place. Right now if anyone says that there is a main event locked in for Mania, they are dead wrong because nothing is for certain. Basically the idea is Dwayne Johnson has to make up his mind, and most likely a final date would best be just before the Rumble so they could start main event plans at the Rumble show.” said Dave.
The Rock was recently asked in an interview who he thinks is the chief of family? He mentioned himself instead of his cousin Roman. Eric Lim Rhodes’s question was answered in an interesting way.
“Who is head of the table? Without saying any names, you’re looking into his eyes right now.” said The Rock.

I don’t know about y’all but this supposed backup plan for WrestleMania sounds way more intriguing than me then rock vs reigns. I don’t hate that match I’d just rather see the alternative, have rock interfere in Roman’s match and lead that into summerslam or next mania
