At UFC Vegas 67, Abdul Razak Alhassan did the unthinkable. The welterweight fighter had an incredible triumph. Despite his poor track record in the past, this victory will undoubtedly boost his confidence for the next contests. After the fight, his home country of Ghana went insane.
Abdul Razak Alhassan came out on top when he faced Claudio Ribeiro at UFC Vegas 67. Claudio Ribeiro was no newbie; he was a formidable opponent in the octagon. Especially given his offensive approach. Despite the fact that Alhassan’s knockout victory outside of the first round made the bout look too easy. He hammered the 27-year-old before flooring him, forcing the referee to intervene and quickly stop the fight right there.

Although the final blow was delivered at 0:28 of the second round, the match was not as exciting as everyone had anticipated. The Porto B team member simply played a poor game overall. His performance was mediocre. In actuality, Ribeiro was making his octagon debut after signing with Dana White’s Contender Series, where he had a six-fight winning streak. The records were all there, but the performance fell short of expectations.

After this memorable win, the 37-year-old definitely wants to continue the momentum. Having said that, his poor track record in the past could be one of the reasons he succeeds in the octagon.
As he lost to Joaquin Buckley at UFC Vegas 48 in February 2021 and then earned his first victory since August 2021. He has previously competed in Bellator and Legacy Fighting Championship. However, after training and competing in judo for 22 years and earning his black belt, he transitioned to mixed martial arts, and then he made his professional MMA debut.
