It seems like Kevin Holland appears more on the news for his controversies than his fights these days. Although some would argue that he is entertaining to similar degrees both indie and outside the Octagon, his recent altercation gave us a hint of a Kevin Holland vs Joseph Holmes fight even though ‘Trailblazer’ himself claims the fight may never happen.
Kevin became famous for talking trash against his opponents during the fights and still managing to rack up wins. Especially his knockout win against Jacare Souza is still considered legendary.
In 2020, between Anthony Hernandez and Jacare, he fought 5 times picking up wins in all his bouts after which many started considering him as a potential champion at some point.
Unfortunately, his return in March of 2021 against Derek Brunson did not go very well and Holland went on a three-fight losing streak against both Marvin Vettori and Kyle Daukaus. The potential contender now decided to switch up weight classes and moved to Welterweight. In his next two fights, he managed to defeat Tim Means and Alex Oliveira.
After Khamzat Chimaev missed his match against Nate Diaz, ‘Bigmouth’ decided to fight Khamzat Chimaev in catchweight. Unfortunately, he got dominated badly and decided to retire only to be brought back against Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.
After conceding the loss there he went on a recovery period and now is scheduled for a fight against Santiago Ponzinibbio.

But that doesn’t seem to be his only confrontation at the moment as he attacked fellow middleweight, Joseph Holmes at an XKO event. Holmes claims that he was jumped and beaten badly by Holland and his team while his own team did not come to his rescue. Kevin immediately hit back challenging the already assaulted UFC fighter to a sparring session.

At this point, UFC should host Kevin Holland vs Joseph Holmes officially to settle things once and for all.
