In a time when legends like Jose Aldo are retiring and the likes of Francis Ngannou are parting ways with the UFC, one legend is scheduled to step right back inside the Octagon. Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway suffered a disappointing loss against Alexander Volkanovski in their 3rd outing and went on a hiatus. Now he plans to make a comeback with a Max Holloway vs Arnold Allen fight.
‘Blessed’ has pretty much fought and defeated many of the major fighters from the Bantamweight/Featherweight/Lightweight divisions. He is not the young and hungry boxer he once has, he can’t maneuver his body like he used to, but the experience he has gathered from all these years of bloody brawls still wins him fights against the top shots of his division.
His rival Alexander speaks about him, “I still think he was a great champ. I still think he’s a great fighter, and I still think he beats most of the top guys, anyway. We’ve got a very strong division, a lot of guys that are coming up. And obviously, through watching me fight and watching some of the top guys fight, everyone’s going to start evolving more and more and more.”
He further added, “So I feel like you’re going to start seeing these other guys that are rising up, really start to get up there, anyway. But I still think Max – it wasn’t Max went down, it was just I literally had him figured out and I just went to another level.”
When will Max Holloway vs Arnold Allen happen?
The current rumored date for The Max vs Allen matchup is April 15 on a UFC Fight Night event. Arnold is currently on an 11-fight win streak and could be the next title challenger after the Volkanovski vs Makhachev fight.
We hope to see Holloway back healthy and in peak form.
