Watch: Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley, Merab Dvalishvili caught up with each other discussing current weight

Being participants in a combat sport, UFC fighters don’t always come together unless they’re associated with each other. Sometimes the mere presence of fighters they dislike can lead to all-out brawls.  Bantamweights Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley, and Merab Dvalishvili recently walked into each other for a casual chat.

What went down between Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili?

Merab Dvalishvili starts by stating, “Look at us what good people here at UFC PI!” After which, Sean O’Malley questions the current champ, “What are you weighing?” The injured bantamweight champion answered at around 167 and a half pounds. ‘Suga’ then did the same to Dvalishvili and the Georgian suggested around 155 pounds.

O’Malley was shocked but also added to the conversation, “155? Sheesh. That’s where I’m at yeah!” The champ then decided to chime in, “I don’t know how you guys stay so skinny. I eat one and I’m at 170 (170 pounds).” In the end, Merab pointed at his peers and concluded stating, “He’s (Sean O’Malley) skinny. He’s (Aljamain Sterling) strong.”

Aljamain was scheduled for a fight against former two-division champ Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo but had to pull out owing to injuries. The Olympic gold medalist is still adamant about his return but the opponent is yet to be announced. Aljo’s return date is also yet to be disclosed as the recovery period is still not over.

Sean had a controversial defeat against Petr ‘No Mercy’ Yan and lost a good deal of credibility amongst fans. Now the Suga show wants to clear his name and has shown interest in fighting Henry Cejudo for the interim title belt.

On the other hand, Dvalishvili has stated on separate occasions that he will not fight for the title if his training partner Sterling is the champion. He is currently scheduled for a bout against Petr Yan on March 12th.

What are your thoughts on this encounter?
