LeBron James is considered one of the greatest players to play in the NBA. While most people love the player for his personality both on and off the court, ex-Lakers center Dwight Howard takes a jab at him.
It all started when a fan tweeted and asked Howard, “there was an article I have read that you don’t want to practice your ft and jumpers in your early years. is that true?”
Responding to the fan, Dwight Howard did not think twice before taking a shot at LeBron James and the entire Lakers team in his tweet.
What did Dwight Howard tweet?
In his recent tweet responding to the fans’ query, Dwight wrote, “You are talking to someone that shot and still shoots 1,000 jump shots a day 🤔 I was told not to shoot before, and being the team player I am, I stuck to my role 💯” before sharing three videos of him practicing shooting and another video which explains that he is a “three-point sniper.”

In that video, LeBron James was indicated as the reason for his lack of shooting. The voice says that James gave the center a condition if he was willing to shoot.
Howard would have to get two blocks in a game, and only then would he be allowed to shoot for a three-pointer. Not only that, while responding to fans in the comments, Dwight explains the Lakers team told him not to shoot at all, causing him to end with a poor shooting percentage.
Looking at the stats of Howard, the former Defensive Player of The Year, fans will notice his career three-pointer average was 21.4%. In comparison, playing for the Lakers, the average increased to 56.65%.
So, most teams did not allow him to shoot, and he proved himself when he had even the slightest of opportunities. Just imagine what he might have accomplished if he got more options!
