“Every other fighter is tougher than tommy” Tyron Woodley claims Tommy Fury, Nate Robinson both present same challenge for Jake Paul

One of the most anticipated fights of this year, Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury is currently scheduled for February  26th. With only two days left before the fight, fans and fighters have all chimed in with their opinions. Former UFC champ Tyron Woodley also has a surprisingly dismissive approach about one of the fighters.

Recently, Tyrone had this to say when talking about the fight, “Tommy outside of Nate (Robinson), the only opponent that I think Tommy may be more difficult than is Nate, that’s it. Nate Robinson, by the way, not Nate Diaz. Every other fighter, in my opinion, is tougher than Tommy.”

Is Tyrone right about Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury?

Woodley was once a force to be reckoned with during his time at UFC. During his long career, ‘The Chosen one’ defeated the likes of Carlos Condit, Jekvin Gastelum, Robbie Lawler, Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia, and Darren Till. Unfortunately, something changed in 2018, and ‘T-Wood’ lost consecutively to Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, Colby Covington, and, Vicente Luque.

Following his release, the 170 lb was off doing different ventures until he got the opportunity to face Jake Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ at that point had defeated former UFC fighter Ben Askren and was viewed as a ‘menace that needed to be dealt with’ by the fighting community. Tyrone thought he was the man for the job.

The fight eventually took place and Woodley lost. But the UFC veteran almost immediately turned around and started asking for a rematch. At one point Paul agreed and the rematch happened but the results stayed the same. This time around some began to suspect that Tyrone was only agreeing to these fights because of the good payday.

That brings us to Tommy Fury who unfortunately has admitted to taking this fight for the money. The Brit is still young and has been undefeated so far in his career. 4 out of his 8 wins came via KO/TKO. The fact that Woodley has such a dismissive approach to the professional boxer could very well be jealousy or maybe he sees something we don’t.

We can expect some answers if the fight finally does take place on February 26th.
