The Los Angeles Lakers star, Lebron James, demonstrated a magnanimous performance against the Dallas Mavericks, which propelled the Lakers to their third straight win on Sunday night.
The Lakers won the game with a nail-biting three-point lead finish, propelling the franchise to the 11th seed. The star center, Anthony Davis, Dennis Schröder, and Jared Vanderbilt, performed an instrumental role in the triumph at American Airlines Center.
However, the success didn’t come without sacrifice as the Lakers’ star became injured again, leaving the team in a pickle.
What happened to LeBron James?
During the third quarter, the 38-year-old forward injured his long, troubling ankle but carried on anyway. Later, after the game, Lebron was seen limping away at the American Airlines Center.

Previously, the four-time NBA champion felt uncomfortable in his ankle and missed a couple of games in January. However, the ailment didn’t go away, as it kept recurring and started taking a huge toll on the legend.
His ankle pain irritates King James, as he stated in his Instagram story last night. “Fkn sucks,” James wrote on his injured ankle video.
The 19 time consecutive NBA all-star game against the Atlanta Hawks in 2021, but it recently peaked as the star single-handedly pulled the entire team this season.
With this injury, the Lakers again went to their familiar tradition of injuries, just as the team had started to show signs of promise for the first time this season.
James himself aspired to have a healthy, fit roster, which could help him secure a place in the postseason. Ironically, it appears the lone warrior himself has fallen victim to injury and is set to miss multiple weeks.
LeBron scored 26 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out three assists against the Mavericks despite suffering from ankle soreness. In my opinion, the king should’ve taken time for treatment instead of continuing to play, which put the team and his fitness at risk in the long run.
What’s your opinion on LeBron James’ troubling injury? Should he take more time to get fully fit? How will the Lakers fare in his absence? Leave your thoughts with us in the comments.
