With both legendary fighters Conor McGregor and Jon Jones making comebacks, this year has been a year of comebacks in the UFC. Jones recently wished The Notorious luck for his return bout against Michael Chandler.
After an absence of two years, Conor McGregor will make his octagon comeback in the latter part of this year against Michael Chandler, as Dana White had previously indicated in February. The return of former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was also announced by the UFC President.

On March 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Jon Jones will return to the UFC to compete for the vacant heavyweight title against Cyril Gane. Ahead of the blockbuster battle, in the media of UFC285, Jones shared some thoughts regarding The Notorious.
“There’s only one Conor McGregor! I love Conor, I love what he represents. He’s big, he has this gigantic brand, some say it’s just as big as our sport. It’s going to be great when he comes back, he’s going to bring a whole new energy. Even more fans, it’s great for all of us. It’s great for the sponsors, it’s great for the UFC”, stated Jones.

Jones wished Conor all the best as he loves the way the Irishman is living his life. Bones stated that he never thought in his time that he would see an MMA fighter with a Ferrari [Lamborghini] yacht, but McGregor has done it.
”I’m so proud of him, it opens doors for all of us. It lets young fighters know that it’s possible. There’s great business and life-changing opportunity outside of the sport. I’m just so grateful for being that example for all of us.” Jones further added.
The former two-division champion is currently in Las Vegas, Nevada, getting ready to start filming The Ultimate Fighter’s 31st season, where he will be coaching against Chandler, his very next opponent in the octagon.
