The Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is at the helm once again this season after his teammate LeBron James sets to miss weeks due to a tendon injury.
Anthony’s season with the Lakers is full of ups and downs, with a regular visit to the white coat’s chamber. Despite his constant injury, he maintains a decent level of performance every time he gets on the court. There’s no denying that Anthony has shown efforts for the franchise whenever he gets the opportunity.
However, his determination hasn’t been “all glorified” by the Lakers legend, Shaquille O’Neal, and Shaq thinks the player has something more up his sleeves.

The 50-year-old former Lakers star is known as a die-hard fan of his team and didn’t let anyone off the hook despite their fame or achievements. In his famous show TNT, O’Neal shared his insight on the Lakers’ star center Davis.
“I don’t want to say this disrespectfully, but he has fell off. When you are a champion and you’re a Laker, they expect you to play at a certain level,” the four-time NBA champion said.

That seems a little harsh on the 29-year-old Lakers, as he scored an average of 25.8 points with 12.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game in his 38 appearances this season.
However, with his perception, Shaq didn’t forget to inspire the eight-time NBA all-star and said, “AD has to be the guy. We know he can do it.”
During Davis’ absence, LeBron carried the Lakers single-handedly, and now that enormous pressure has taken a toll on his fitness. The 38-year-old is set to miss a handful of games this month due to his ankle issue, and this is the moment for the 6.10-footer to rise on occasion.
Seeded eleventh in the Western Conference, it’s a slippery road ahead for the Los Angeles Lakers to secure a spot in the postseason.
