Michael Jordan’s Highland Park, Illinois mansion, worth $15 million, was reportedly burglarized on Tuesday. The seven-acre estate, which has been on the market since 2012, was broken into by an 18-year-old suspect, Raiden K. Hagedorn, who was apprehended by the police still inside the 56,000-square-foot home.
The authorities were alerted by the neighbors, who had reported a possible burglary in progress. Hagedorn was later charged with three misdemeanors, including one count of criminal trespass to an occupied residence and two counts of criminal damage to property.
The former Chicago Bulls star was not at home at the time of the incident, and it is believed that he has not lived at the property since 2012 when he first listed it for sale. The expansive estate boasts nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, an indoor basketball court, an infinity pool, a tennis court, and a cigar room.
The drive leading to the mansion is also closed off by iron gates that are emblazoned with Jordan’s iconic number 23.
Jordan has several homes across the US, and he is believed to live primarily in Florida. He previously resided at the Highland Park home with his ex-wife Juanita Jordan and their three children before they divorced in 2006.
The luxurious property was initially listed for sale at $29 million back in 2012, but Jordan was unable to find a buyer. The price has since been reduced to $14,855,000, and the property is still on the market.
Jordan‘s career as a basketball player has made him one of the most iconic athletes of all time. He led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships, won five NBA Most Valuable Player awards, and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.
He is also known for his successful line of Nike sneakers, which have become a cultural phenomenon. Jordan’s legacy extends beyond his athletic achievements, and he is widely regarded as one of the most influential and successful sports figures in history.

Michael Jordan’s Extravagant Lifestyle: From Luxury Mansions to Private Jet
Basketball legend Michael Jordan has an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion and owns several luxurious properties around the world. The majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA and 23XI Racing in NASCAR has two mansions in North Carolina, one in Cornelius at Jetton Park on Lake Norman and the other in downtown Charlotte.
Jordan’s Chicago residence in Highland Park, which spans over seven acres, was his primary residence until 2007.
The estate was listed in 2012 with an asking price of $29 million but has been on the market for a decade, currently priced at $14.9 million. Jordan also owns a property in Jupiter, Florida, which spans around 28,000 square feet, and a 10,000 square feet mansion in Ski City, Utah.
The estate in Utah, called The Holiday Home, has been on the market since 2019 with an asking price of $7.5 million, but Jordan has been unable to find a buyer. Despite the unsuccessful sales of these properties, Jordan still pays over $100,000 in taxes for the Chicago mansion.
Along with his love for collecting luxury cars, private jets, and yachts, Jordan’s success on and off the basketball court has allowed him to build an impressive real estate portfolio.
