The new UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya earned the biggest win of his career this past Saturday, as he defeated his archrival Alex Pereira via knockout in the second round at UFC 287 held in Miami, Florida.
Following his sweet victory, Adesanya spent the remainder of his evening partying with UFC superstars Chuck Liddell, Kamaru Usman, and Tito Ortiz at Miami’s E11even nightclub.

Adesanya’s entrance to the club was wild as well. The DJ acknowledged ‘The Last Stylebender’ and started playing his theme music as he made his grand entrance into the club. Everyone erupted into a frenzy and gathered around Adesanya to record videos and snap photographs with him.
Adesanya then entered the stage to demonstrate his dance skills with the main act, rapper GASHI who was the star attraction of the celebration. The middleweight king, with his championship belt, of course, stole the show.
While it’s unclear who Adesanya will fight next, it’s clear that his star in the MMA world is continuing to rise. Anderson Silva who was recently inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame is widely considered the greatest middleweight fighter in UFC history. Silva still holds the record for most middleweight championship victories at 11,
Adesanya with his win over Pereira this Saturday now stands at eight title victories in the 185lbs division. A few more dominating title defenses for Adesanya would definitely cement his place as the greatest middleweight the UFC has ever seen.
Will Israel Adesanya fight Alex Pereira again?
Despite the fact that Alex Pereira had twice defeated Adesanya in the kickboxing ring prior to entering the UFC octagon, their MMA series is settled one apart. Adesanya as of now isn’t engaging in any trilogy talks as he clearly dismisses the idea of fighting ‘Poatan’ one more time. He said, âI donât keep score, I settle them,â
Adesanya said at a post-fight news conference of his own.
âNow, itâs settled. Look, I gave him the fast track to the belt. I couldâve said, âNah, f*ck no. Who has he fought?â Like, he fought one top-five. But he did well. He fought some alright guys. Then, he beat f*cking Strickland and I was like, âOK, fine. Thereâs no one else.â But also, I was looking for that challenge, that guy that beat me in kickboxing. Thatâs why I took that fight”
He continued âI got that immediate rematch because of what Iâve done in this game. ⊠I did the hard yards. I earned my f*cking rematch. Now, heâs got to do the hard yards if he wants to do that, but I donât think heâs going to. Go cause problems at 205. Good f*cking luck to everybody else because heâs a motherf*cker to deal with. Iâll tell you that.â
What do you think about Adesanya’s afterparty?
