Gervonta Davis stepped up and delivered in the biggest fight of his life yesterday as he brutally knocked out his arch-nemesis Ryan Garcia in the seventh round. After years of back and forth and rumours of the two superstars fighting, Tank put an exclamation mark on the rivalry with a brilliant performance.
He dropped Garcia in the second round and asserted dominance throughout the bout. In the seventh round, Davis landed a hard body shot and thereafter Garcia was unable to get up before the ten counts. Following his victory, Gervonta Davis sat down for the post-fight press conference and answered many questions.
During this press conference, one of the interviewers informed Gervonta that Drake bet $1 million on him and asked the lightweight superstar about his feelings after he evaded the rapper’s curse. Tank responded and jokingly said, “Tell him I need half of that.”
He also thanked everyone for supporting him and added “It’s pretty cool to have people like that believe in me. It made me push harder and stuff like that. So shout out to Drake and the rest of the people that you know back me. And this is only the beginning for me. I have a bright future.”

The four-time grammy award winner bet $1 million on Tank to defeat Garcia and also placed multiple bets on this super fight. Three of those bets were on Gervonta Davis knocking out Ryan Garcia in the first, second and third rounds of the fight. However, Drake lost $45,000 as Davis finished the fight in the seventh round.
Despite losing these three bets, he won a ton of money as Drake took home $1.38 million following Gervonta’s win.
