The no 17 of the Jets got another level of praise as the former Packers compared him to one of his best teammates, six-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro, Davante Adams who also wear no 17 jersey. surely, it is a big compliment that the Jets WR got, picked in the first round of last year’s draft.
āThereās another 17 I played with for a long time who does it better than anybody. The explosiveness in and out of breaks, the 17 here, is pretty similar,ā he said.
Being named the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2022, Wilsons showed the Green Gang as a rookie why he was the ideal pick for the team in the first round of the draft. As of Week 15 of the season, the 22-year-old’s 868 receiving yards were the most by a rookie in Jets history. In the NFL Draft class of 2022, the WR was among the fastest route runners.
In the meantime, Adams, one of the Packers’ top wide receivers, has already made a name for himself in the league and is currently fourth all-time in team history for receiving yards (8,121). He surpassed the 1,408-yard franchise mark for receiving in a single season set in 1997 by Hall of Fame receiver Tim Brown.
The Jets faithful are anticipating a strong bond between Rodger and Wilson that might assist the team win the Super Bowl, similar to the remarkable relationship between Rodger and Adams with the Packers.
