“Challenge accepted!”: Conor McGregor agrees to fight retired UFC legend in boxing ring

Over the course of his professional MMA career, Conor McGregor has distinguished himself as one of the most highly skilled athletes to ever step into the octagon. The Irishman, though, appears to be indicating his return to boxing against a former UFC legend. 

Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather’s bout in 2017 caused quite a stir in the boxing world. Conor has threatened to defeat numerous boxers despite the fact that this was his one and only professional fight. Recently, Mystic Mac expressed interest in competing in a boxing bout against another UFC legend.

Mark Coleman, who was the first ever heavyweight champion of Ultimate Fighting Championship recently expressed his desire to fight again. Now that exhibition bouts are quite popular among the boxing fans, hence even at the age of 58 Mark is considering a return. 

The Notorious, a former UFC two-division champion didn’t miss the chance to grab the attention of “The Godfather of Ground and Pound” by accepting the challenge of the UFC legend. Coleman talked about McGregor in a video posted on social media. 

“Hey Conor McGregor I’m a big fan. Thank you for calling me out! It has to be in boxing because I would smash you in MMA you know that. Boxing you are probably going to lose a decision, but I want a red panty night.” Coleman said.

Will The Notorious make a comeback to the ring? 

When Conor was at the top of his game, he was a very tough opponent in the octagon. Unquestionably, becoming a champion in two divisions is a tremendous accomplishment, and The Notorious did that very easily. Hence Conor taking on Coleman would be something interesting to witness.

The Irishman has been teasing a rematch with Floyd Mayweather in addition to showing interest to fight Coleman. Six years after their ring rivalry, Floyd and Conor appear to be restarting it. A rematch of their legendary boxing contest is anticipated by many boxing fans.
