There has been talk of Conor McGregor competing against Saul Alvarez in a boxing match. Henry Cejudo, a fellow UFC fighter, talked about Conor’s decision to take on the Mexican boxer and believes it to be potentially hazardous.
The historic boxing bout between Mystic Mac and Floyd Mayweather in 2017 created a lot excitement in the sport. Even though it was the Irishman’s one and only professional boxing match, he hasn’t ruled out going back into the ring, and he might face another boxing legend in the future.

Henry Cejudo’s take on The Notorious vs Canelo Alvarez
Triple C recently addressed the McGregor issue in details in an Instagram post. Just like Conor, Cejudo is also a former two-division UFC champion. Hence Cejudo thinks the Irish superstar should take every step very cautiously at this moment.
Henry thinks McGregor should get back to training and focus on his return bout against Michael Chandler as the future of the fight is in jeopardy at the moment. Triple C warned Conor by saying, “This is an important time in McGregor’s career. How seriously is he taking Michael Chandler?”
Mystic Mac has been hinting at his return to the boxing ring as well in addition to getting back on the octagon. This is where, the bantamweight fighter is concerned about Conor as it seems he’s not taking his fight against ‘Iron’ seriously.
“Is he willing to step inside the squared circle with Canelo Alvarez? Is he taking the fight game seriously, or is this all ego? Soon, we’ll find out, but right now McGregor is all talk. He needs to put the work in ASAP, or he’s in trouble.” Cejudo added.
I can give it, but I can also take it @TheNotoriousMMA 😂😂😂
These next 6 months will let us know if Conor is serious about fighting, of if he return is all about ego 💯

Henry, who also made a UFC return this year, made a prediction if Conor fights Canelo. According to the Olympic Gold medalist, Canelo’s gonna stop Conor in the 1st or second round.
What’s next for Canelo?
On May 6 at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico, Alvarez fought John Ryder in his most recent fight. Canelo prevailed through unanimous decision (120-107, 118-109, 118-109)
From a total of 63 fights, Saul has an astounding 59 victories. Only twice has the Mexican boxer ever lost, to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2013 and Dmitrii Bivol in 2022. In Las Vegas, Nevada’s T-Mobile Arena, Dmitry of Kyrgyzstan defeated Saul via unanimous decision.
The Mexican fighter, though, has regained his form after victory against Gennadiy Golovkin in September of last year and ‘The Gorilla’ this month. However, the opponent for the 32-year-old boxer’s next fight isn’t fixed yet but he’s planning on return in September.
