Conor McGregor delivered invaluable guidance to the participants of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) during a segment on the show’s 31st season. McGregor and Michael Chandler were appointed as opposing coaches for TUF 31, which was recorded earlier this year.
Since his first-round TKO defeat against Dustin Poirier in their lightweight clash in July 2021, McGregor has not competed due to a horrific leg injury.
Conor in a recent video was seen giving one of his fellow fighters a bizarre tip to deal with pain. He goes on to say that whenever you feel your body is pain, then you just need to close your eyes and imagine the body part which is suffering. The next step is to visualize that pain and take a hold of it through your fists and throw it away.

When will Conor McGregor return to UFC?
Earlier this year, McGregor finished filming for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 31 alongside his rival TUF coach, Chandler. The season premiered in May and is set to conclude in August.
Following the show, it is anticipated that Conor will face Michael, potentially in a welterweight contest. In a conversation with the UFC’s Megan Olivi, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion confidently claimed that he will secure a knockout victory over Chandler.
Warning that he aims to remove ‘Iron’s’ head. McGregor predicted a head kick knockout triumph. The UFC superstar expressed the following:
“Not only just a return — The greatest return in combat sports. This is going to be [that]. I’m going to kick this guy [Chandler] in the head. He’s just tailor-made for being kicked all over the place. And that’s what I’m aiming for.”
Conor and Michael serve as opposing coaches in the ongoing season of TUF. And they are scheduled to fight later this year.
How is Conor McGregor’s team doing vs Michael Chandler’s teams in TUF?
In a recent lightweight bout on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 31, contestant Austin Hubbard secured a spot in the semi-finals by defeating Aaron McKenzie through a unanimous decision.
This victory also marked Chandler’s team securing their third consecutive win over Team McGregor. The experienced fighters now hold a 3-0 lead over the up-and-coming prospects.
Despite the various speculations surrounding the upcoming bout, it is evident that ‘The Notorious’ is incredibly self-assured about entering the octagon against ‘Iron’. It is worth mentioning that McGregor has been inactive for nearly two years, but that fact doesn’t appear to have diminished his confidence.
During an interview with Megan Olivi, when discussing his potential fight against Chandler later this year. ‘The Notorious’ boldly predicted a knockout victory with a head-kick and stated:
“I’m going to kick this guy in the head. He’s just tailor-made for being kicked all over the place and that’s what I’m aiming for. I am aiming to wrap this steel bar around the opponent.
And you’re going to see a visual of the leg hanging off and then you’re going to see a visual of a head hanging off. So I’m excited for that and motivated for that and steady making my way towards it.”
