Israel Adesanya is renowned for his competitive spirit, which he displayed by overcoming his longtime rival Alex Pereira in his most recent contest. Adesanya recently made an unexpected future hint, presumably expressing interest in making a few WWE cameos.
Recently the historic merger of Vince McMahon’s WWE and Dana White’s UFC has resulted in the creation of a $21 billion entertainment behemoth led by Ari Emanuel’s Endeavor Group Holdings.
Israel Adesanya weighs in on potential WWE run
In the worlds of combat sports and the entertainment business, the buyout of UFC by WWE parent company Endeavor has been a hot subject recently. In a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, the UFC middleweight champion discussed the prospect of a future WWE participation with Ariel Helwani.
“The only thing is, I like to be the author of my own story. I’ll do a couple cameos. I’ll come from under the ring or whatever, just appear.” Adesanya said.
Adesanya’s ready for wrestling cameos
It is plainly evident from ‘The Last Stylebender’ that he is a major fan of wrestling, and that his preferred era was the attitude era. However, the 33-year-old MMA fighter remained vague when asked if he would like to try wrestling after retiring from MMA.
“But to be a guy that is in there and then have someone write my story, and I’m this, I’m that; I feel like it’s just not my forte. But I’ll do a few cameos.” Adesanya added.

While Izzy may have wrestled in mind, the middleweight king is currently only concerned about retaining his title. For a trilogy bout, there’s a chance that Adesanya would step up to heavier weights and take on Alex Pereira in the light heavyweight division.
