England manager Gareth Southgate has given his opinion of the blockbuster transfer of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid has further strengthened their superb squad with the signing of England and Borussia Dortmund’s young star Jude Bellingham. The player was also wanted by Liverpool, Manchester United, and other clubs.
Ever since the young English midfielder left Birmingham for Borussia Dortmund, he has been on the rise. After three years in Germany, Jude has quickly established himself as a top talent for the future. This season, though he heartbreakingly lost the league on the final day to Bayern Munich, he still won the Bundesliga Player of the Season award.
After becoming a pivotal part of both his club Dortmund and his country England, he has now set his sights on the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid announced Jude Bellingham signing for $110 million plus add ons

The transfer fee is said to be around 103 million euros. But it could rise up to around 134 million euros if certain variables are met in the following years. This depends on the performance of the player and the success of the club.

According to AS, The 19-year-old will sign a six-year contract with the Los Blancos. His salary is said to be around 20 million euros a season. This means he will earn around 120 million at the end of his contract. However, after tax, he will only have 10 million euros per season. He is already in the group of the highest-paid players on the team, alongside veterans like Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and others.
Bellingham was sought by many other Premier League clubs as well. But in the end, Madrid convinced him through their project. It is not hard to see why the player was so much in demand.

Bellingham to get legendary no.5 jersey of Zidane
This Thursday, Real Madrid presented their new marquee signing. The 19 year old English midfielder was handed the legendary No. 5 worn by his idol Zinedine Zidane. He spoke to the media and also said he will be happy to play with Kylian Mbappe as rumors persist of the Frenchman joining the club this summer.
Jude spoke to the media where he spoke about his new jersey number. He said that he asked Jesus Vallejo for the jersey number as he is a big admirer of club legend Zinedine Zidane.
“I really admire Zidane and the legacy he has at this club with the number five. It’s a number that inspires me. I’ve worn 22 for a long time and in my heart, I’ll continue to wear 22. I’m delighted to wear the number five.”
Bellingham previously sported the No.22 for both Birmingham City and Borussia Dortmund. Birginham even retired his jersey number to encourage their youngsters to follow in the footsteps of Jude.
Madrid has secured one of the world’s best young players in Jude Bellingham. And Bellingham himself would strive to be one of the best players in the world in the coming years.
