However, he thinks that everything is dependent on the quarterback’s skills.

In a recent interview with Jim Rome, Peterson expressed his confidence in Pickett’s abilities, stating, “I believe he is a guy that we can rely on, a guy who we can count on.” He emphasized that the team’s success is greatly dependent on Pickett.
He also praised the rest of the team including the front office’s moves in the draft, particularly the selection of left tackle Broderick Jones, and the additions of Allen Robinson, Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, and Najee Harris to the offense.
“We know defense wins championships. We have talent across the board on the offensive side of the ball. I believe the front office did a great job of getting what we needed in the draft as far as getting Broderick (Jones) in the first round, a left tackle, young pup who you should expect to see play a lot. You added Allen Robinson, you got Diontae Johnson, you got George Pickens, you got Najee (Harris).”
But he said that besides these talented players, it will be Pickett’s responsibility to lead the offense effectively.
“You know it’s all going to come down to how well Kenny can play and can he put the ball where it needs to go.”
Can Kenny Pickett lead the Steelers to success next season?
No doubt, Pickett is a great player. In his rookie season, he showed progress from a 3-7 start to a 9-8 finish. Although his statistics are not extraordinary, he still has the potential to show great talent on the field.
With the Steelers, the quarterback has a golden opportunity to hit new milestones of success. And Peterson’s comments were maybe intended to motivate him to do better.
With the start of the new season, Kenny Pickett will have a lot of pressure. He will have to prove his talents to his teammates and coaches. Steelers have a strong roster and with Kenny, they can achieve their desired success in the 2023 season.
