Arman Tsarukyan was touted for a long time as the next big UFC prospect. The Georgian at his relatively low age has already fought the likes of Mateusz Gamrot, Damir Ismagulov, Islam Makhachev, and, Matt Frevola.
The 26-year-old looks closer than ever towards his first title shot but he also seems to be keeping an eye on his division as a whole. During a recent interview, he threw a jibe at two of his division’s biggest names.
What message did Arman Tsarukyan send to Michael Chandler?
Following the dominating victory, the Armenian fighter called out the top 5 fighters of the division by saying, “First of all anybody from top 5. Dariush, I heard he wants to come back in December but it’s too late for me you know.”

However, the new threat in the lightweight division, also thinks the McGregor return fight isn’t going to happen in the end. Hence he would also be looking forward to facing Michael Chandler in replacement of the Irishman.
“I heard, Michael Chandler, his fight with Conor is over you know. And probably they’re gonna give me that fight you know and I’m gonna kill this guy.” Arman said.
Hey @MikeChandlerMMA if you think the fight with Conor is still happening you are as dumb as your fight iq

Throughout his UFC career, “Ahalkalakets” has demonstrated exceptional talent and ability in the lightweight class. The 26-year-old fighter, who’s now on a two-fight winning streak, has demonstrated strong striking and grappling skills along with versatile hitting methods.
Will we see Michael Chandler vs Conor McGregor this year?
One of the UFC’s most awaited fights of the year was the bout between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. Given how things have developed over the last four months, it now seems unlikely that the fight will occur.
The USADA keeps pressuring the former lightweight champion to participate in the testing pool, but The Notorious seems to be still refusing. Regulations state that Mystic Mac must re-enroll and demonstrate clean results at least twice in six months in order to be allowed to compete.
