5 active NFL stars with gun-related legal history

NFL

There are many players in the NFL with gun-related legal history. Here are five such players:

  • Adam Jones

Adam Jones was arrested in Las Vegas and accused of criminal coercion in connection with the shooting at a strip club that left a man paralyzed.

  • Marshawn Lynch

When Police in Culver City, California, investigated his car without tags, they allegedly smelt marijuana before finding a gun in the trunk along with marijuana cigarettes. The NFL took away three of his games.

  • Rolando McClain

McClain was accused of firing a gun inside the Decatur, Alabama, city boundaries. He also placed a gun to a man’s head during a clash.

  • Aqib Talib

Police in the Dallas area issued a warrant for Aqib Talib, claiming that he shot at the lover of his sister.

  • Elvis Dumervil

Elvis Dumervil was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon in Miami after it was claimed that he lifted his shirt to display a revolver to a passing driver.

These incidents serve as a reminder of the consequences one has to face for such actions. Gun ownership is a controversial issue and there are many rules set in place for their possession. Unfortunately, athletes, who are supposed to be more disciplined than the average civilian, somehow fail to abide by these regulations.
