Free agent 4 times Pro Bowl RB Dalvin Cook wishes to achieve his Super Bowl winning dream despite uncertain future after leaving Vikings

Despite pursuing numerous feats throughout his time with the Vikings, running back Dalvin Cook always dreamed to be a ring winner, nevertheless, the dream remains a dream for the running back till now and he still cherished the fantasy.

The Minnesota team released their veteran running back last week after failing to find a trade partner for him and the former Viking star is now lighted his torch to find a new home for him after 2017 when he first stepped into the NFL world holding the hand of the Vikings.

Though the next chapter of Dalvins’ life is still waiting to open, the running back declared that his next season’s focal point will be on Championship winning which he openly stated in Adam Schefter’s podcast.

“I just want to go contend for a Super Bowl right now,” he cited.

The Vikings may not be aware of Cook’s dominance, however, the running back is cognizant of the sacrifices he made during his six seasons and 73 regular season games with the team, being ranked fourth among NFL running backs for the 2022 season following his rush for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns and adding 39 receptions for 295 yards and two more scores.

“I’m looking for that value of Dalvin Cook,” Cook said. “If I walk into a situation, it’s going to be a situation where I can help somebody to take that next step of trying to go get that Lombardi Trophy. That’s all I’ve got my mind on. The money part is going to come. That’s my agent’s part.”

Ex-Vikings RB Cook uncertain about his NFL future

The regular season is quickly approaching, and as each team releases its roster, the 27-year-old is still searching for his next destination. The Dolphins are reportedly in the lead to sign the former Vikings star to their roster, but other teams on the list include the Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs.

In the five years and $63 million contract he signed with the Vikings in 2020, his base salary gave him an average annual salary of $12.6 million. Hence, the player’s financial worth should be that deal that is much more appropriate for his level after four consecutive Pro Bowl seasons even though he left all those worries to his agent.

Dalvin Cook's Contract, Salary, Bonuses, and Net Worth

Instead of rushing into a big deal, the former Vikings running back wants to focus on finding a team that will work for him, his family, and of course, a front office that will value him. The running back might even be able to reward them with a major championship.

“Me, Dalvin Cook, I’m looking for somebody that’s ready to go win. I can be the piece to go help somebody to turn the page of go win and turn the franchise to go get a Lombardi Trophy. That’s all I want. I want to hold that trophy up, kiss it one time. That’s all I’m looking for right now.”

While many NFL players prefer big contracts, the former cornerback’s drive to help his new team win the Super Bowl justifies signing him by a team in need of running backs. Let’s see which team grasps the opportunity!
