Nate Diaz says no to SMOKING ahead of Jake Paul fight according to UFC alum

Nate Diaz seems to be putting a lot of effort into not only his boxing training but also other areas of his life as he gets ready for his fight against Jake Paul. Jake Shields, a teammate of Nate’s, claims that the former UFC fighter has also given up smoking in order to prepare.

The American mixed martial artist, who experienced ups and downs throughout his time competing in the UFC, made the decision to employ his years of experience in the boxing ring as well.

Jake Shields provides update on Diaz’s training

Jake, a very close associate of Nate, recently appeared in an interview with Helen Yee Sports on YouTube, where he discussed many aspects of Nate’s boxing preparation.

According to the former Strikeforce, EliteXC, and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter, Nate is actually a good boxer and he’s been sparring a lot of pro boxers and beat up most of them.

“He would go and, Andre Ward is a multi-time world champion undefeated boxer, one of the most underrated boxers ever and Nate would go and box him for 10 rounds,” Jake said.

The ex-UFC lightweight and welterweight fighter, noted for his aggressive fighting style and captivating personality, hadn’t competed since September 2022. Earlier Nate declared that he’d be stepping into the professional boxing circuit this year.

Shields gives early prediction for the mega bout

Shields, the former Strikeforce middleweight champion and the former EliteXC welterweight champion, also made a prediction regarding the highly-anticipated boxing bout even though he claims to hate giving exact predictions.

“I think Nate is going to win. I do think it’s going to be a tough fight, I think Paul is a good fighter I’ve never been a Paul hater I think the guy is tough and I don’t think Nate is just going to go through and walk through him.” Shields added.

Shields, who called it quits on his professional MMA career in 2018, also thinks that Jake and Nate are going to slug it out for a few rounds and then Nate will knock The Problem Child out in the later rounds.
