Due to the boredom of leading every lap, Max Verstappen pitted at the end of the penultimate lap in the Austrian GP to secure the title of fastest lap. This shows Max’s dominance and consistency in his performance, and Former F1 world champ Jacques Villeneuve concurs.
Amidst a conversation with an Italian Magazine, Villeneuve torched a new discussion by pointing out the inconsistency in Lewis Hamilton’s career when put up against the relentless brilliance of Max Verstappen. Jacques says the Dutchman has always been consistent, unlike Lewis Hamilton.
“War machine” Verstappen is praised by ex-world champion
“Verstappen has always been like that, for years. He’s at his best for the whole season,” quoted the ex-world champion. Mad Max is in incredible form right now, and it’s only befitting for Villeneuve to describe his performance as “hallucinating”. This comment was made soon after the Austrian GP bore witness to Max’s dominance, securing his fifth victory in a row. He has already pulled away from the rest of the pack in the driver’s leaderboard.

And it makes the difference.” the former 1997 world champion commented when asked about Max’s performance this year. Villeneuve pointed out that while most other drivers have ups and downs, Max does not fall under this category as he said, “Not him”.
