The 30-year-old Venezuelan forward produced another gem of a goal, as his team edged out a draw in the dying embers of their game against Columbus on Wednesday.
Josef Martinez scores ‘picture-perfect’ overhead goal
The David Beckham-owned club is eagerly awaiting the arrival of seven times Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi. With his arrival on the horizon, the Miami Pinks were looking to step up their game on Wednesday, when they hosted the Columbus Crew.
The Herons suffered a setback in the first half, as Darlington Nagbe volleyed one home from outside the box in the 23rd minute. Leonardo Campana equalized the game in the 57th minute with a powerful header from a corner kick.
However, Inter found themselves trailing again in the 69th minute, as Christian Ramirez found himself wide open from a low-driven cross from Cucho, and put it behind goalkeeper Drake Callender.
Then came Josef Martinez as a super sub in the 74th minute. In the dying minute of the match, the Venezuelan forward scored an outrageous overhead kick from a lofted ball from Campana inside the Columbus Crew box, equalizing the game once again.

Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami still rock bottom in MLS EC
The seven times Ballon d’Or winner is expected to join The Herons in less than two weeks, and he will have a mammoth task at hand upon his arrival. Inter Miami is at the bottom of the MLS at the moment, with only 5 of 20 games won and just 17 points gathered in total.
Inter Miami played to their second consecutive draw, but they remain winless in nine games and dead last in the Eastern Conference with nine points out of a playoff spot and only 14 games left to play.
