Sadibou Sy stepped inside the octagon to take on Shane Mitchell at the PFL 6 event that took place at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atalanta, Georgia. The Swedish stunned the crowd present at the Overtime arena as he landed a vicious spinning head kick in the third round to put the lights out for Mitchell.
YouTuber turned pro boxer Jake Paul took notice of Sadibou’s spectacular knockout victory and showered high praise on the welterweight’s performance at the recently concluded PFL event.
Who is PFL welterweight fighter Sadibou Sy?
Sadibou Sy is a Swedish Mixed Martial Artist currently competing in the welterweight division of the Professional Fighters League. The 36-year-old fighter is a veteran in the sport with 24 fights under his belt.
In his 10-year MMA career, the Swedish Denzel Washington has amassed a record of 15-6-2. Sadibou Sy earned his PFL debut in 2018 after putting on impressive performances in the Swedish MMA organizations.

However, the Swedish welterweight was unable to recreate the same kind of performances in PFL and instead produced a mixed bag of results in his first ten fights. But Sy has improved his skillset over the years and consequently, in 2022, Sadibou became the PFL welterweight champion after racking up four consecutive wins.
His recent spinning head kicks KO win over Shane Mitchell has definitely drawn the attention of MMA fans around the world. If he manages to maintain the same kind of dominance inside the octagon then we might see him win multiple championships.
Is Jake Paul under contract with PFL?
Earlier this year in January, Jake Paul announced on his social media pages that he has signed a deal with Professional Fighters League. The YouTuber turned pro boxer confirmed that he will step inside the octagon and compete in a PFL event. There is not a lot of information available about his contract as both the PFL and The Problem Child seem willing to keep the details private.
However, Donn Davis who is the CEO of PFL revealed that Jake’s deal with PFL is a multi-year multi-fight deal. As of now, there is no update about Jake’s debut in MMA. But the Problem Child showed interest in fighting Nate Diaz in a two-fight deal that includes an MMA bout as well. Unfortunately, The Stockton Slugger denied the offer and the two fighters will battle it out inside the boxing ring.
Apart from signing a fight deal with PFL, Jake is very active in promoting fighters on Twitter and has even offered Elon Musk to promote the rumored MMA bout against Mark Zuckerberg. As time progresses, we might get new information about Jake’s deal with PFL. But for now, the organization would most likely be happy with how things have turned out after the signing of the social media star.
