The Green Bay Packers’ former quarterback Aaron Rodgers had been gracing headlines pretty much every year due to his phenomenal athleticism. Besides this, he was at the center of attention owing to his ongoing trade saga following a prolonged career in Green Bay which ended just a few days ago following the Packers’ successful trade with the New York Jets.
After landing in the Big Apple, Aaron seems to be putting his best effort to satisfy his new in-laws as he has been a regular member of the team’s OTA session that he ‘intentionally’ missed in Green Bay. The NFL decided to treat the fans with the QB’s clips from the practice session by taking him into the spotlight via HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’.
Jets’ duo Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson ready to impress
Rodger‘s team is set to open training camp on July 19 and they are likely going to be under the watch of even more eyes ahead of the 2023-24 season after getting featured in HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’. Albeit the Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson thinks HBO’s cameras can not distract them and expressed his excitement to throw the ball with the four-time MVP, with high hope for a potentially good season ahead, per NBC Sports’ Myles Simmons,
“When you have a new signal-caller coming in and new quarterback, you just want to be able to get those reps and bookmark certain routes together. And we got a chance to do that. It was awesome to be able to throw with him and go against a defense with him leading the charge, and see how he sees the defense, and spend time with him in the film room — all those things. The culmination of all those things hopefully leads to our success down the road.”
Wilson thinks his chemistry with the former Packers QB has got stronger despite such a short tenure and believes together they could wreak havoc on the field in the upcoming season,
“We’re going to try to keep building upon that. We have a small sample size together, but we feel like we took full advantage of the time we did have together. That’s all we could do.”
Jets will star in HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Gang Green has been officially listed down to get featured in HBO’s training camp series ‘Hard Knocks’, marking their second appearance on the show,
“NFL and NFL Films have selected the New York Jets to serve as this year’s team on Hard Knocks, per sources. Jets report to training camp one week from today, July 19, and the cameras will be rolling in full force.”

The Jets first came under the national microscope of the NFL via HBO back in 2010 and they went 11-5 that season. Nevertheless, many of the team’s players vehemently opposed getting filmed for Hardknocks as they already go through the same every year for their own training camp show ‘One Jets Drive’ to showcase their practice session, and now HBO’s one might cause additional distraction.
Even HC Robert Saleh didn’t halt back from opposing the decision saying, “I haven’t got word or anything like that. I know there’s several teams that would love for Hard Knocks to be in their building, we’re just not one of them.”

Whatever, nothing can probably be done now as the NFL has pretty much forced it on the Jets. They met the required guidelines along with Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Commanders.
