The Jets are keen on acquiring Aaron Rodgers; in contrast, the Packers are attempting to negotiate with the Jets for the highest trade price in exchange for Rodgers for Jordan Love. On Wednesday, this future hall-of-fame quarterback publicly stated his choice to sign with a new franchise.
In his 18th season in the NFL—all of which have been spent with the Packers—Rodgers, 39, claimed he is not delaying the trade process, publicly considered retirement, and made it known he was thinking about his future in the league. In the offseason prior, Aaron signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers that was worth a total of $150.8 million over three years.
In place of Rodgers, the Packers appear prepared to go forward with Jordan Love at the quarterback position; Love was selected in the first round of the 2020 draft, yet in his first three seasons, he only completed 83 regular-season passes.

However, this quarterback has little chance of staying in Green Bay since the Packers had previously expressed their desire to trade their veteran Rodgers.

At an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday, the former MVP clarified that he wasn’t there to declare his future, contrarily provide an update on his situation within the first few minutes of his introduction. In his opening remarks, Rodgers said he doesn’t want to stop playing immediately; instead, New York is now his preferred landing spot.
“Since Friday I made it clear that my intention was to play and my intention is to play for the New York Jets,” Rodgers clarified.

This quarterback didn’t disregard talking about the person for which the Packers want to trade Rodgers. Just before praising Jordan Love, he said that he was a “f***ing fantastic kid” and predicted his success in the NFL.
Recently, Rodgers left something vague in a tweet, leading the supporters to believe that he was expressing a desire to either end up leaving Green Bay or join the Jets. With his statement, the hall of fame member has now made everything perfectly plain.

ESPN claims several Jets staff members, including the team’s owner Woody Johnson, general manager Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh, and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, came to California last week to meet with Rodgers and make their case in person.
