The Jets has given Quinnen Williams the second-largest contract ever for a defensive tackle. He has got a contract extension of four years and will be paid $96 million over four years. Right after this news was announced, his teammate Sauce Gardner took to Twitter to congratulate him. He even teased throwing a yacht party to celebrate this deal.
The deal came at a critical time when the Jets were already worrying about the Hard Knocks curse. With this new re-signing the team can take a sigh of relief and have some confidence that with the players like Aaron Rodgers and Quinnen Williams at the helm, they could have a strong shot at winning the championships.

Although he was most likely joking but it shows that Gardner and Williams share a good bond and Gardner is very happy about this new deal. Including Gardner, pretty much everyone looks excited about this new venture. It will be an interesting experience to watch Aaron Rodgers and Quinnen Williams on the same team.
Jets, Quinnen Williams agree to 4-year, $96 million extension
The defensive tackle of the Jets was adamant about a new deal. He expressed his wish back in April, but the team was busy with the quarterback signings. Now, that Aaron Rodgers is already in the team, the Jets has decided to re-sign Williams.
He has got a great deal worth $96 million that he demanded for his exceptional skills and talents. The deal looks great for both Willams and the Jets. The team was worried about the Hard Knocks series, the cameras entering the organization, and the distraction that these things will cause for the players. Besides that, the alleged ‘Hard Knocks’ curse fear was also there.
But with this new entry into the team, their jittering hope seems to be bolstering again. Both Aaron Rodgers and Quinnen Williams are considered to be exceptional players and a great addition to the Jets. If the team stayed determined, they could be a strong contender for the next Super Bowl championship.
