After defeating the Judgment Day, Shinsuke Nakamura’s attack on Seth Rollins in WWE RAW sets stage for World Heavyweight battle

It looks like all is not well for Seth Rollins. Fresh off his victory over Finn Balor at SummerSlam this Saturday, The Visionary is now the target of none other than Shinsuke Nakamura. The King of Strong Style shockingly turned heel last night on RAW after attacking Rollins last night.

At SummerSlam this Saturday, Rollins finally put an end to the 7-year rivalry between him and Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Despite the odds stacked up against him Rollins managed to beat Balor after a hard-fought battle. On this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW, The Visionary teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cody Rhodes to defeat The Judgment Day in a six-man tag team match. What followed after the match shocked the whole WWE Universe.

Shinsuke Nakamura’ attack sets stage for WWE World heavyweight clash vs Seth Rollins

Now that the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor is officially over, it was time for the champ to look for a new opponent. Right after his victory over the Judgment Day, Rollins was hit with a Kinshasa by Nakamura, who was supposedly his ally. As we all know, the top champion of any brand becomes the target of pretty much everyone. And now, it looks like WWE is setting the stage for a rivalry between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Shinsuke Nakamura

This would make for a pretty interesting feud, as we don’t often see The Visionary and The King of Strong Style share the ring. Ever since he returned to RAW, Nakamura has been a huge part of the brand. Apparently, Triple H is a huge fan of Shinsuke Nakamura and wants to establish him as a top villain of the red brand.

Either way, it’s pretty clear that Seth Rollins will find a way to exact his revenge on Nakamura. Since WWE’s next PLE, Payback is almost a month away, the fight between Rollins and Nakamura would be a great way to close the night.

Shinsuke Nakamura, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins beat Judgment Day on WWE RAW

Earlier that night, Sami Zayn was supposed to team up with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to take on The Judgment Day. However, Zayn was taken out in a backstage brawl by JD McDonagh. Nakamura saw the opportunity and offered to be Zayn’s replacement, to which Seth Rollins agreed. The six superstars clashed in the main event of RAW, which saw the three babyfaces emerge victorious after Sami Zayn emerged to help them win.

It’s also interesting to note that during the match, tensions were high between Finn Balor and Damian Priest as they got into an argument in the middle of the match. It’s pretty clear that WWE has plans to pit these two against each other in the near future.

As of this moment, WWE has big plans for The King of Strong Style. The response to Nakamura turning heel was also pretty positive. Stay tuned to find out how Rollins gets his revenge on Nakamura next week on Monday Night RAW!
