After two pretty dull preseason games, the pressure is mounting on the Los Angeles Lakers. Most of the blame is on Bronny, LeBron James’ son. Bronny played for 13 minutes and didn’t score any points in his second game, while his dad scored nine. Lakers fans are seemingly upset with this draft pick, but Bronny’s agent, Rich Paul, is trying to keep everything under control.
There has been much discussion about whether the young player is ready for professional hoops. Rich Paul, LeBron James’s famous sports agent, recently stated in an interview that Bronny James’ decision to join the NBA has “no downsides.”
He stated, “There are no downsides to Bronny’s decision to go to the NBA… only pros. He’s the first player to have only pros. He’s the first player to only have pros.”
As one of the most important people in the NBA, Paul strongly supported Bronny and ignored complaints and criticism. He was excited about the next season and looked forward to seeing Bronny James make history.
Rich Paul shares insight on Bronny James’ decision to join the NBA
The NBA community is wondering if Bronny James felt forced to go pro because he’s having a hard time in the NBA preseason. His agent said Bronny made the choice himself. He decided to play in the NBA on his own; no one made him do it.
Paul said to ESPN, “Nobody pressured Bronny to go pro. Bronny had the option to stay at USC, to transfer to another school, or to turn pro.” He added, “It’s handled the right way… beautiful. And if anyone can handle it, it’s him. I told Bronny, it’s admirable that you’re choosing to go through this process. You don’t have to do this.”
