John Cena Dives into New Role as Mermaid Ken in Barbie Movie: A Star-Studded Cast Featuring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling
Cena will not be working with Gerwig for the first time; he previously worked with Margot Robbie in The Suicide Squad. Robbie will play the titular character in Barbie, while Ryan Gosling will star as Ken, Barbie’s primary love interest.
The cast also includes W. Ferrell and E. Mackey, K. McKinnon, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, as well as many other supremely talented actors. The movie’s premise revolves around Barbie’s expulsion from Barbieland for not being perfect, prompting her to embark on a journey to find true happiness in the real world.
Despite his hectic schedule, John has landed roles in a number of renowned film series. His fans will be able to see him in Fast X next month when he will reprise his role as Vin Diesel’s character’s brother, Jakob Toretto.
Cena will also appear as Rocksteady in TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, which will be released on August 4, 2023. Cena is also scheduled to co-star in the spy film Agrylle with Henry Cavill.
The film was filmed and produced by Matthew Vaughn and is based on Elly Conway’s still not published novel. While the film’s release date is only listed as 2023, the cast roles have not been released.
