When Andrade was still in WWE, he and Charlotte Flair were THE power couple in the company after coming public with their relationship at the Hall of Fame ceremony. That void has been seemingly filled by Montez Ford and Bianca Belair, who attended the event announcing the acquisition of WWE by Endeavour.
Charlotte and Andrade continued their relationship even when both were working for their rival companies, but there have been rumors going around recently on social media that the two have broken up only more than a year after their marriage.
Andrade uses figure eight to win at WWE Collision
Andrade had an iconic run in the black and yellow brand with Zelina Vega as his manager, winning the NXT Championship and having 5-star matches with the likes of Johnny Gargano and his AEW mate Malakai Black. Karl Anderson was the one who introduced Andrade to Charlotte after El Idolo was promoted to the main roster, where he won the United States Championship.
However, due to his frustrations with WWE Creative, he requested his release, which wasn’t granted by WWE, and he was off the programming for weeks before he was eventually released from his contract.
He joined the AEW fold during a time when a lot of talent was migrating from WWE to Tony Khan’s company. His run has been less than underwhelming, and he let out his frustrations against Tony Khan’s booking of his character by publicly liking tweets about the mishandling of him on AEW.
During this time, he also had personal problems, with speculations about his breakup with Charlotte Flair going around social media. But he made his return to AEW Programming with a win against Scorpio Sky in a fantastic match on AEW Collision with a Figure-8-leg-lock, which signifies he’s still together with the 14-time Women’s Champion.
The wrestling couple unfollowed each other on social media
There had been no pictures of the couple together on social media for weeks, which fueled speculations of them splitting up as they regularly posted wholesome pictures together, but they ramped up after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. Even Andrade’s father-in-law, Nature Boy Ric Flair, unfollowed him on Instagram, which made it clear something wasn’t right.
It seems like their relationship started showing cracks after being married for more than a year. Fans started taking sides amid the rumors with them bringing up Charlotte Flair’s marital history as she has already been divorced twice. But it seems like all is well after Andrade’s recent actions on AEW Collision.
While their relationship started off quite well with Andrade and Charlotte Flair showing off their chemistry and love for each other in public, it seems like there have been some strains recently, but let’s see if they make it through this rough patch.
