According to a recent post on Twitter from the official Twitter account of ESPN’s “First Take“, Stephen A. Smith has expressed strong disapproval of Anthony Davis’ Olympic plans. In as much as he admitted that Anthony Davis is a Superstar with legitimate talent, he went ahead to call him a “roller coaster” and said he doesn’t approve of Davis joining the national competition.

He said, “I don’t want to hear nothing about no damn Anthony Davis representing Team USA. Wait a minute now, I need to make sure he is going to show up for Lakers games… I don’t want to see him in no damn international competition, because that might be an excuse for him to miss another 10-20 games.”
As per the analyst, Anthony Davis gets injured way too often. He expects Davis to focus on staying healthy and playing regularly for the Lakers rather than trying to win a gold medal for the national team in the Olympics.
