Anthony Davis Refuses to Sit Out After Injury Scare in Pistons Game

The Los Angeles Lakers faced another tough game loss on Monday, falling by 12 points to the Detroit Pistons. Besides, Anthony Davis endured a painful foot injury, which only served to increase their concerns. But things are looking better after the game.

He appeared to have injured his foot or possibly his ankle during the fourth quarter. He was limping and clearly in a lot of pain as he moved up and down the court. Even with the injury, Davis kept going and ended the game with an impressive 37 points.

But maybe Davis’ injury isn’t as serious as people think. After the Lakers 115-103 loss to Pistons, LeBron James responded to a question about how the Lakers would manage without Anthony Davis. AD was heard saying in the background, “He’s not out.” This gives hope that he won’t miss the next game. After the game, Davis also gave an update about his injury to the media.

Anthony Davis unsure about his injury impact

Whenever Davis gets hurt, Lakers fans often worry because of his history with injuries. After his recent foot injury during the loss to Detroit, Anthony Davis seemed unsure if it would be a problem moving forward. This felt different from his usual responses to minor injuries.

He said, “l’ll talk to my trainer and just kind of figure out what exactly is going on… I just kind of landed directly on the spot that’s been killing me. So, we’ll figure it out.” He added, “We’ll take it a day at a time and kind of see how it feels and where it goes.”

The Lakers’ next game is on Thursday, November 7, against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum in Memphis. This gives AD some time to rest and see what’s really going on with his foot. Hopefully, he’ll be ready to play in Memphis.
