The friendship between Antonio Brown and Tom Brady seems to have hit rock bottom. The former NFL wide receiver recently made a shocking claim that the greatest quarterback of all time had cursed out his agent during a contract dispute. This allegation has left many fans wondering what led to the deterioration of the relationship between the two players.
Antonio Brown has publicly criticized his former teammate Tom Brady. He stated that the quarterback cussed out his agent when he was in search of a new contract after winning a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in February 2021.
Brown claims that he was the last player to sign for the team. And when his agent pushed back for a better deal, Brady allegedly called and cursed out the agent for not agreeing to a team-friendly contract.
“Now when we get the ring in 2021, the next year I’m the last guy that signed,” Brown said. “My agent, Ed Wasielewski, is getting called, cursed out by Tom Brady over why is he pushing back for the contract for scraps. Imagine if you heard that, the same guy that brought you in to win a ring, the same agent he told you to hook up with to get the deal, is not telling me, the guy’s calling him, saying, yo, cursing him out about scraps of a contract.”

Brown found this behavior disrespectful since Brady was the one who brought him into the team and suggested that he work with his agent.
It is unclear whether Brown eventually agreed to Brady’s demands. But he did sign a one-year deal worth $6.25 million to remain with the Buccaneers.
“I give everyone their props from a team standpoint, as far as the team, but you know, we all got our own agendas in the midst of the team,” Brown said. “So when you’re an older player, you getting deals like that, you feel like, and I’m telling, my agent’s telling me already before the season that this guy, who he hooked me up with, is calling him, cussing him out about the contract.”
