This has raised question marks over the other Real Madrid midfielders, including the Frenchman, Aurelien Tchouameni. Nevertheless, several reports suggest that despite Arsenal being ready to put forth a lucrative bid, Real Madrid considers their number 18 as “not for sale.”
Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that the London club are close to reaching an agreement for 24-year-old midfielder Declan Rice. The agreed fee for the Hammers skipper is going to be north of $109 million. With the signing of Kai Havertz already in the bag and the arrivals of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber looking inevitable, it is going to be interesting to see the approach from Arsenal in the coming few weeks.

Real Madrid signed the French midfielder from AS Monaco for a whopping $107 million in the summer of 2022. In his first season, the defensive midfielder featured in 33 La Liga matches for Los Blancos. With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos ageing, Carlo Ancelotti is looking to restructure his midfield with some young players.
Despite the 23-year-old midfielder having an inconsistent season, the Brazilian manager seems to have faith in Tchouameni’s abilities. The French star made his debut for Les Bleus against Bosnia and Herzegovina during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, and has featured in the final squad due to the absences of Paul Pogba and N’golo Kante. The defensive midfielder also came into the limelight after his long-range strike against England in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
After finishing runners-up in their respective leagues, Arsenal and Real Madrid look to strengthen their squads to be formidable title challengers. Despite having an abundance of midfield options, Carlo Ancelotti has made his stance clear on the Frenchman.
