Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta issues stern warning to Man City ahead of Premier League clash on Wednesday

Arsenal is top of the Premier League which seems like an eternity but will be challenged by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City after Citizens closed the gap with Mikel Arteta’s Gunners.

Mikel Arteta nurtured this young Arsenal team so well and proved his capability after leading the side to the title race and establishing himself among the greats due to his unique playing style.

To be the best you have to beat the best and Arsenal is very much aware of that as Mikel Arteta is ready to counter the most difficult challenge he has to face and already issued a warning to Pep Guardiola’s Man City.

“You have to be at your best but against Brentford, it’s exactly the same. We are the same force. We will show it to Man City” Mikel Arteta said on the eve of the high-voltage clash.

“It’s not an issue the way the boys tried, and I look at their body language, their intentions and how much they want it, and the reaction when they drop two points, the way they dropped them. They are in a great place.”- Mikel Arteta further added.

Arsenal are not in great shape to face the turbulent force of City, but the Gunners manager is optimistic about a positive outcome despite dropping five points in their last two games.

Arsenal has been struggling on their left flank after Gabriel Martinelli failed to pick up the pace, he left prior to the FIFA World Cup, and it won’t be surprising if the high-flying fresh new arrival Leandro Trossard handed the start over to the Brazilian.

Manchester City, on the other hand, is flying high in spirit after tarnishing Aston Villa 3-1 on their last outing and reduced the gap with Arsenal to three points, at the expense of an extra game though.

The Premier League clash of the toppers will be held on February 15 at the Emirates Stadium and winning the game will be the title influencer if not the title decider.
