The NFL superstar, Tom Brady, retired from football ‘for good’ after making the announcement on Instagram on February 1 and is set to join Fox Sports as an NFL commentator for a whopping deal.
However, in the meantime, a news outlet, RadarOnline, claimed the NFL GOAT was considering his career in a non-traditional way as he postponed the commentator deal till the next season. This new development shocked the NFL community and raised some old questions.
As per RadarOnline, Tom is considering stand-up comedy for a change, while the long-serving professional wants to give it a try.
What did the source say regarding Tom Brady’s new career choice?
RadarOnline claims their source verified the news of the 45-year-old’s sudden decision to try stand-up comedy. Even a member of his inner circle was opposed to his new unusual line of work.
“Tom was a terrific quarterback, but he needs to toss this idea before it’s too late,” a staffer for Brady said. “As a comic, he’s just a water boy.”
This new commitment might be inspired by his recent involvement in a comedy film, ’80 for Brady.’ As a football superstar himself, the seven-time Super Bowl winner didn’t have to struggle much, and his co-stars were overwhelmed around him.

“The ladies were super nice to him and he did a nice job reading professionally written material in a small part,” the source continued. “But he’ll be playing in a whole different league if he takes up the stand-up stage.”
Tom’s fans might argue with this claim, as the former quarterback did a nice job impersonating his former teammate Rob Gronkowski in the film. However, to be a professional, he has to go on a whole other level if he really decides to continue in showbiz.
Previously, in the last year, he signed a contract with Fox Sports worth $375 million for 10 years as an NFL commentator after his retirement. There are no NFL games before the next preseason, so it’s safe for Brady to try something new for a while.
