The Danish striker appears to be an appropriate candidate to fit the bill of Erik Ten Hag’s striker, with great positional sense and pressing ability. Atalanta manager lavishes praise on Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund is United’s number 1 choice to add goals from the striker position. The Atalanta forward moved to Italy after a 2-year spell with Copenhagen in his native country. Since joining Atalanta, the forward has been a sensation at just 20 years old.
The forward has scored 9 goals in 32 appearances for the club, with the majority coming off the bench. Also, he is a significant presence with his stature and build allowing him to add aerial prowess to Manchester United’s attack.
Atalanta’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini was questioned about the Danish international’s future in a press conference. Gasperini quoted, “I don’t know whether he’ll stay or leave — but I hope the club will value Højlund around €80, 90 or 100m fee”. Further, he was questioned on the striker’s ability as well to which he replied, “Rasmus is one of the best — if not the best — emerging talent in Europe as a striker.”
