“He honestly seems like about 18,” Reaves said about King James. “He acts like about 18. He’s very childish in a great way.”
To Reaves, LeBron James’ youthful approach to the game is not a negative, but rather an inspiration to the younger players on the team. Despite his age and experience, James still has a passion for the game and a desire to learn and improve.
“Playing with LeBron has been amazing,” Reaves said. “He’s always willing to help out and give advice. He’s been through it all and he knows what it takes to win.”

“We got a lot of young guys, I understand that it’s my job to make sure they’re even keel,” James said. “One game is not going to define the whole series. We have to be better. I want everyone to be comfortable when we go on the floor and just play free. Let me worry about the Xs and Os and the tactical things and all the other stuff, I can do that, I have the ability to do that.”
For Reaves and the other young Lakers players, having James as a teammate and mentor is an incredible opportunity to learn from one of the greatest to ever play the game. And while James may have the energy and enthusiasm of an 18-year-old, his experience and knowledge are invaluable to the team’s success.
“He’s been doing this for so long and he knows what it takes to win,” Reaves said. “Being around him and learning from him has been incredible for me and the rest of the team. We’re all just trying to soak up as much as we can from him.”
