The Rock’s daughter, Simone Johnson, is set to become the first fourth-generation star in the history of WWE. Simone Johnson debuted on NXT under the name of Ava Raine. She is 21 years old and had a bright future ahead of her as part of the Schism faction. The WWE Universe is also excited to see whether she had her father’s potential and athletic ability or not.
But recently, Dutch Mantell in his podcast criticized Ava Raine by stating that she is too green as a wrestler. In fact, the veteran slammed The Rock’s daughter by stating that the People’s champion would not allow his daughter to be on television as it would reflect poorly on him and the family.
Former WWE manager’s verdict on Ava Raine
While speaking on his podcast, Dutch Mantell stated that
“Well, this is a project that could very well backfire in WWE’s face. By her being the biological daughter of Dwayne Johnson, she is expected to have certain athletic talents that she just doesn’t have. This is no knock on her, but she’s been training for a solid year. We can’t even blame it on the knee surgeries, but she is very, very green.
I think Rock wouldn’t allow her to be on TV right now because it reflects poorly on him and the family.”
It clearly shows that the veteran manager is not happy at all about the presentation of The Rock family in WWE. Ava Raine’s debuts excited the fans of the People’s champion but it looks like still there is a doubt over whether she will be able to represent his family at the highest level or not.
This is not the first time Dutch Mantell has criticized someone. The veteran manager always shares his opinions in his podcast.
When did Ava make her debut?
Ava Raine’s debut inside the squared circle has been eagerly awaited by fans. After signing with WWE in 2020, she made her first appearance on NXT television in October of that year.
Ava first appeared on NXT television and established herself as a heel after joining The Schism stable, which includes Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, and Jagger Reid. Raine has been on a notoriety spree since her debut, interfering in important matches and once even kidnapped Chase U member Thea Hail.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Ava Raine as fans are thrilled to see whether she can able to represent his royal family on the same level his father The Rock does from last multiple years in WWE.
