Bad Bunny claims Tom Brady is no longer the GOAT after Lionel Messi’s arrival in the USA

There is no doubt that Lionel Messi is one of the most famous athletes in the world. The Argentine winger’s name is known all across the globe, and even those who are not familiar with football are aware of the G.O.A.T.’s legacy.

Many famous celebrities often pay tribute to their idols, and that is what Bad Bunny did with his new album. The Puerto Rican rapper has mentioned Lionel Messi in many of his songs. He even went so far as to take shots at rugby legend Tom Brady.

Bad Bunny claims Lionel Messi replaced Tom Brady as the GOAT

Former American football (rugby) player Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. is certainly one of the best players the world has ever seen. The retired quarterback has made a name for himself in his 23-year-long career. He has several records to his name and the 46-year-old is widely considered the G.O.A.T. by many, but it seems like Bad Bunny has different opinions.

Puerto Rican rapper Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, popularly known as Bad Bunny, has taken shots at Tom Brady in one of his latest songs, titled Vuelve Candy B. The rapper openly declared that Lionel Messi has taken the G.O.A.T. title away from Tom Brady since the 2022 World Cup winner arrived in America. “Since Messi is in the USA, everyone knows who the goat is. It’s no longer Tom Brady,” he said.

Messi’s arrival in America was so impactful that a documentary called “Messi Meets America” was released a couple of weeks ago. The documentary has since invoked mixed reactions.

Bad Bunny dedicates the album to his true love Lionel Messi

It is clear from Bad Bunny’s new album that Lionel Messi owns a lot of real estate in the rapper’s heart. In his latest album, “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Manana,” he mentioned Leo several times. The album contains a total of twenty-two songs, five of which have a Lionel Messi reference.

In a song named Thunder y Lighting, Bunny said, “Messi hat-trick, Estrella Patrick.”

In another song from the album called Telefono Nuevo, he said, “The rabbit is Messi; I am Mbappe.”

The songs of the album not only have a Lionel Messi reference but a Diego Maradona mention as well. In his song Monaco, the 29-year-old said, “What you do doesn’t impress me. It’s like scoring a goal after Messi and Maradona.”

It is clear from the lyrics of these songs that Bad Bunny idolizes both Argentine legends, Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona. He clearly has immense respect for Messi and surely thinks highly of him.
