Barcelona get significant edge in battle to acquire PSG superstar Lionel Messi over Inter Miami

Lionel Messi is very close to bidding adieu to the French Club PSG after his contract expired in June and the Argentine has no intention to extend the contract as talks with other clubs are ongoing.

Inter Miami of MLS League remained interested for a long time in bringing in Lionel Messi to their club as it will be an honor to unveil the greatest player to their continent but has to face some tough competition from other clubs too.

Barcelona is plotting a blueprint to secure the comeback for Lionel Messi in Catalonia and they are really confident to pull off the blockbuster move.

Lionel Messi is the biggest legend at FC Barcelona after spending 21 years with the club, joining its youth academy at the age of 13 and eventually becoming the team’s all-time leading scorer with 672 goals in 778 appearances.

During his time at Barcelona, Messi won numerous trophies including 10 La Liga, seven Copa del Rey, and four UEFA Champions League titles. He also won the Ballon d’Or award for a record seven times while playing for Barcelona.

However, Jorge Mendes, father of Lionel Messi earlier waved out any chance for Barcelona to re-sign his son and told sport Barca, “I don’t think Leo will return to Barcelona – conditions are not met.”

“We didn’t speak with president Joan Laporta, there’s not even a proposal from Barcelona.”- Jorge Messi further added previously.

But things have changed within a span of time as Jorge Mendes came up with another statement recently declaring it is possible for the Blaugrana to sign Messi again but they didn’t discuss the situation yet.

“Impossible? No idea, I don’t know if it’s gonna be impossible. It is obviously possible. We didn’t even speak with Laporta, stop. Leo’s under contract with PSG.”- Jorge Messi said.

PSG, on the other hand, desperately wants to tie the superstar to a new contract which seems very unlikely, and where the little magician will go is remained in a cast of shadow as of now.
