He’s been teasing Shaq about his appearance, jokingly calling him “ugly” multiple times on the show.
This banter continued into July 2021, stemming from Barkley’s comments on The Ellen Show, where he also joked about “going commando” and took a playful jab at Shaq’s size and looks. However, Barkley did mention that Shaq is a “good guy,” so it’s all in good fun.

This time, however, he surprised his fans by sharing a throwback video from 1997 featuring a humorous interview between superstar Jamie Foxx and Charles Barkley. In the interview, Barkley humorously criticized O’Neal’s movies, calling them “Bad movies! Real bad movies!”
The video then transitions to a scene from the movie ‘Kazaam,’ released in 1996, followed by ‘Steel,’ released in 1997, which unfortunately performed poorly at the box office, resulting in a reported loss of $15 million for the filmmakers. Barkley’s comment may have been a playful jab at these movies.
Like Shaq, Charles Barkley is renowned as one of the greatest players in NBA history. During his prime, he was dominant on the court known for his tough play and great humor. While he has mellowed over the years, Barkley and Shaq have maintained a strong friendship since their NBA days.
