Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is eager for an upcoming NFL season filled with promise as he expresses confidence in the team’s revamped offensive arsenal, anticipating a productive campaign with an abundance of talent both on offense and defense.
The Bears squad is gearing up for a more pass-heavy offense as their GM Ryan Poles worked overtime in the offseason to put extra care to the offensive side of the ball by picking a few promising players during the 2023 NFL Draft and beyond, including wide receiver D.J. Moore, running back D’Onta Foreman, wide receiver Tyler Scott.
What did Justin Fields project about the Bears’ upcoming season performance following a couple of new picks?
The Bears QB Justin Fields opened up to ChicagoBears.com stating his excitement about the roster moves Chicago has pulled off in the offseason.
“I feel like we’ve got a lot of pieces on offense and defense. I know everybody’s excited [about] really just the whole team and the players we’ve got. So [we’re] just going to keep working, keep stacking each and every day, and get better”, he said.
Chicago pulled off a blockbuster trade by sending their No. 1 pick to the Carolina Panthers and receiving the No. 9 and No. 61 picks, along with a 2024 first-round pick, a 2025 second-round pick, and WR DJ Moore. Justin had high praise for his team’s new member.
“I’ve known DJ for a little bit now. I can tell he loves the game, he’s a hard worker and, of course, he’s talented. He’s proven that over the past few years playing with the Panthers.”
Moore glorified donning the Panthers jersey with the record of 364 receptions for 5,201 receiving yards and 21 touchdown catches and the Bears QB expressed excitement to play alongside the veteran player.
“So, it’s great to have him; another weapon to add to our offense. He’s going to bring a lot of energy, a lot of leadership to the room. Everybody’s excited to have him, so it’s going to be fun. … He’s a great person and, of course, a great football player”, he added.
With day 1 of the Bears’ OTAs scheduled to set for May 22, Fields alongside his new teammates is eager to hit the field and showcase their revamped roster. The 24-year-old’s infectious enthusiasm will hopefully spread throughout the team, with players and coaching staff eagerly embracing the heightened expectations.
